Job summary

Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey seeks a Medical Director to design, develop, and deliver provider education and performance management initiatives that support the Quadruple Aim: better patient and provider experience, improved population health, and affordable care.

You will cultivate relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver customized analytic and evidence-based solutions that enhance quality outcomes and value-based care.

Qualifications

• Requires MD or DO degree.
• Minimum 10 years clinical experience in patient centric/value-based setting.
• Minimum 5 years medical management experience in a managed care setting.
• Requires physician leadership experience in integrated delivery systems with financial accountability.
• Current unrestricted Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) license from the state of New Jersey.

Responsibilities

• Design curriculum for provider education including value-based clinical workflows and quality.
• Develop provider education materials for providers at varying readiness levels.
• Collaborate with internal and external SMEs to incorporate insights and strategies.
• Partner with SIG to ensure learnings and strategy are incorporated.
• Research global, national, and state-based best practices to inform work.
• Define provider transformation KPIs with enterprise partners.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams for partner transformation engagement.
• Serve as physician SME for transformation and health care value projects.
• Train value-based team on interpretation of clinical insights reports.
