Medical Director – Pediatrics (Remote, U.S.)

This is a 12-month temporary contract position.

Location: Remote (must reside in one of the following approved U.S. states):

AK, AR, AZ, CO, DC, FL, HI, IA, ID, IL, KS, LA, MD, MN, MO, MT, NC, ND, NE, NM, NV, OK, OR, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI, WY

We are seeking an experienced, board-certified Medical Director with a background in Pediatrics to join our team. Responsibilities include clinical oversight, quality reviews, and collaboration with healthcare providers to ensure high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight for medical management programs
  • Review quality concerns and assess care appropriateness
  • Engage in peer-to-peer discussions with providers and stakeholders
  • Participate in clinical committee meetings and develop corrective actions
  • Support nursing and non-clinical teams on complex clinical issues
  • Use data analysis to improve quality across provider networks
Qualifications:
  • MD or DO degree with current, unrestricted U.S. medical license
  • Board certification in Pediatrics
  • 5+ years of clinical practice experience
  • Experience with managed care, utilization management, or quality improvement (preferred)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, URAC, and healthcare compliance standards
Hours of Work:
  • 8-10 hours on weekdays in the preferred time zone
  • 2-3 hours on a weekend day in the preferred time zone
