Job summary

Frontier Direct Care is seeking a Medical Director (MD/DO) in Texas to lead clinical teams, ensure high-quality, patient-centered care, and drive operational excellence across the clinic. This role demands strong leadership, board certification in Family Medicine, and a commitment to compliant, compassionate care.

You will partner with the Chief Medical Officer to shape workflows, mentor providers, and maintain exceptional patient safety and quality standards within a growing healthcare company.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with active Texas medical license.
• Board certification in Family Medicine.
• 3–5 years of experience in family practice/primary care.
• Active DEA registration or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Demonstrated leadership in mentoring or clinic management.
• Knowledge of healthcare compliance and patient safety.
• Passion for relationship-based care and servant leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical oversight and coaching to providers.
• Lead and mentor clinical teams delivering comprehensive, unrushed care.
• Collaborate with a Lead PCP to ensure continuity and quality.
• Hire and retain providers aligned with our values.
• Work with the Chief Medical Officer to optimize workflows.
• Oversee clinic operations including budget, inventory, and staffing.
• Lead weekly team meetings to foster dialogue and problem-solving.
