Job summary

South Bend Medical Foundation seeks an experienced AP/CP Board-Certified Pathologist to serve as Medical Director for the Kalamazoo, MI practice. This leadership role provides visibility within a growing pathology organization with a long history of serving patients and physicians since 1912.

The ideal candidate will be board certified/eligible in AP/CP, possess strong communication skills, and be able to obtain unrestricted licenses in Michigan and Indiana.

Qualifications

• Board certified or board eligible in AP/CP pathology.
• Prior leadership experience preferred.
• Fellowship training welcomed.
• Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to obtain unrestricted medical licensure in Michigan and Indiana.

Responsibilities

• Medical Director responsibilities with significant influence on operations, quality initiatives, and service delivery.
• Partnership with executive leadership to support continued organizational growth.
• Affiliation with one of the Midwest's leading hospital systems.
• Oversee approximately 14,400 surgical pathology cases annually at the Kalamazoo site.
• Lead diverse and clinically engaging case volume.
• No autopsy responsibilities.
