Alum Creek Veterinary Center LLC is a growing, non-corporate veterinary practice in Delaware, OH seeking a DVM Medical Director to lead our team and shape medical culture while continuing hands-on clinical care.

The role involves mentoring staff, developing protocols, ensuring licensing compliance, and partnering with the Practice Manager on staffing and operations to grow compassionate animal care.

Qualifications

• DVM or VMD degree from an accredited institution.
• Active and unrestricted Ohio veterinary license (or ability to obtain prior to start).
• Minimum of 5 years veterinary clinical experience.
• Leadership, supervisory, or mentorship experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality veterinary medical care including examinations, diagnostics, surgery, and treatment for small animals.
• Lead, mentor, and support clinical staff to uphold standards of medical excellence.
• Develop and enforce hospital medical protocols, policies, and best practices.
• Oversee patient care quality and ensure compliance with state veterinary regulations and licensing requirements.
• Collaborate with Practice Manager on staffing, equipment, and hospital operations.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented clinic culture focused on compassionate patient and client care.
• Assist in onboarding and continuing education of veterinary and support staff.
