Job summary

Banner University Medical Center Phoenix seeks a Clinical Transplant Nephrologist to serve as Medical Director of the Living Donor Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Programs. The role combines patient care with leadership, program development, and scholarly activity within an academic health system.

The candidate will lead clinical care across pre- and post-transplant stages, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and mentor trainees while advancing research and quality initiatives in Arizona.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification or eligibility in nephrology.
• Completion of an accredited transplant nephrology fellowship.
• Eligibility for Arizona medical licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient transplant nephrology care.
• Serve as Medical Director of Living Donor Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Programs.
• Collaborate with transplant surgeons, APPs, coordinators, pharmacists, social workers and dietitians.
• Participate in shared inpatient call and weekend coverage rotations.
• Contribute to policy development, protocol implementation and practice standardization.
• Engage in teaching, mentoring and scholarly activities; participate in research.
