Job summary

Prime Medicine is seeking a Medical Director to lead gene therapy programs from preclinical to in-human proof-of-concept studies, based in the U.S. The role focuses on developing clinical trial strategies across therapeutic areas and ensuring rigorous patient safety.

You will author protocols for phase I–IV trials, analyze data, and collaborate with investigators, regulators, and key opinion leaders, organizing scientific advisory boards and advancing translational biomarker programs.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent required (MD-PhD preferred).
• 3+ years experience overseeing/conducting clinical trials in gene therapy.
• Strong knowledge in genetics and immunology; oncology/hematology/pulmonology exposure is a plus.

Requirements

• M.D. or equivalent (preferably M.D.-PhD)

• Oncology, hematology, immunology, or pulmonology/hepatology specialization is preferred but not required
• Proficiency with GCP, statistical tools, and scientific communication essential
