Job summary

Northeast Healthcare Recruitment, Inc. (NEHCR) seeks a part-time Medical Director/Attending Physician to deliver patient-centered care across local skilled nursing facilities in Ayden, North Carolina.

You will lead clinical care in collaboration with NPs and PAs, ensuring high standards and oversight in daily practice. The role emphasizes flexible scheduling, no fixed daily start/end times, and opportunities to impact post-acute and long-term care patients.

Qualifications

• Active MD or DO with unrestricted U.S. medical license or eligibility for licensure.
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in FM, IM, Geriatrics, PM&R or ED.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and clinical decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered medical care across local skilled nursing facilities.
• Provide clinical leadership and oversight within assigned facilities.
• Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to deliver comprehensive care.
• Attend facilities 1–2 days per week, part-time schedule.
• Support scheduling flexibility and contribute to a collaborative practice environment.
