Cornerstone Clinical Partners in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Medical Director/Attending Physician for a part-time role (1 day per week). You will oversee delivery of comprehensive care to residents in skilled nursing facilities, provide leadership to clinical staff, and ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

This position combines clinical practice with program development, credentialing oversight, and QA activities; candidates should have LTC experience, strong leadership, and familiarity

Qualifications

• CMD certification preferred.
• Extensive experience in long-term care (LTC) or skilled nursing facility settings.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality improvement processes in long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing oversight and mentoring to medical staff to maintain high standards of care.
• Foster collaboration and promote best practices and professional development.
• Lead interview and credentialing for prospective medical staff.
• Chair or co-chair the QAPI committee on a quarterly basis.
• Assist in DOH survey preparedness and regulatory compliance.
• Lead implementation of new clinical programs and initiatives.
• Stay informed on geriatric care advances to evolve clinical offerings.
• Provide direct patient care and ensure high-quality clinical treatment.

Job Summary

Cornerstone Clinical Partners is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Medical Director/ Attending Physician to join our team. As the Medical Director/ Attending Physician , you will play a key role in overseeing the delivery of comprehensive care to patients, ensuring high-quality service, and promoting best practices across the healthcare team. You will provide leadership, guidance, and direction to clinical staff, fostering a collaborative environment while maintaining the highest standards of patient care. Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing oversight, mentorship, and clinical guidance to the medical staff to maintain high standards of care
• Foster a collaborative environment that promotes best practices and continuous professional development
• Lead the interview and credentialing process for prospective medical staff
• Chair or co-chair the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) Committee on a quarterly basis
• Assist in Department of Health (DOH) survey preparedness, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
• Lead the implementation of new clinical programs and initiatives
• Stay informed of advancements in geriatric and long-term care to continuously evolve the facility’s clinical offerings
• Provide direct patient care to residents, ensuring the highest quality of clinical treatment and support

Requirements

• Certified Medical Director (CMD) certification is preferred.
• Extensive experience in long-term care (LTC) or skilled nursing facility settings.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality improvement processes in long-term care
• Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to enhance patient care and facility operations
• Prolonged standing and walking on facility floors. Carrying a medical bag, laptop, tablet or diagnostic equipment. Bending, stooping, or assisting with positioning during exams. Navigating multi-level buildings, potentially with stairs or uneven surfaces. Lifting/moving patients.
