Job summary

Sentara Anesthesiology Specialists seeks a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist to serve as Medical Director at Virginia Beach Ambulatory Surgery Center. The role combines clinical leadership with supervision of CRNAs and collaboration with facility leadership to support clinical excellence and operational success.

The position is approximately 90% clinical and 10% administrative, with responsibilities including maintaining clinical practice while directing anesthesia services for pediatric patients

Qualifications

• Board-certified in Anesthesiology and eligible for Medical Director responsibilities.
• Minimum of five years of clinical experience preferred.
• Minimum of three years of leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in regional anesthesia with proficiency in regional blocks.
• Comfortable caring for pediatric patients and strong collaboration with teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and operational leadership for the anesthesia program at VBASC.
• Supervise CRNAs and collaborate with surgeons and ancillary departments to ensure quality and safety.
• Maintain an active clinical practice while fulfilling approximately 90% clinical and 10% administrative duties.
