Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Medical Director to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This role will serve as a clinical and scientific leader supporting oncology-focused data and research initiatives across a range of complex disease areas. You will partner closely with clients, project teams, and internal stakeholders to translate medical expertise into actionable insights, high-quality deliverables, and strong scientific support. The position combines clinical depth, molecular oncology knowledge, and cross-functional collaboration in a matrixed environment. This is an opportunity to contribute to meaningful research, rare biomarker work, and real-world evidence efforts in a fast-moving healthcare setting.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $210,000 – $250,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Serve as a core medical expert for high-volume, custom data requests across oncologic diseases
• Partner with clients to leverage clinical-molecular datasets for target discovery and biomarker characterization
• Apply clinical development principles to bridge traditional endpoints with real-world evidence
• Provide clinical and molecular data expertise during pre-sales and client scoping
• Collaborate with project teams to deliver complex datasets and custom client requests
• Support internal training resources on rare biomarker cohorts and molecular data structures
• Participate in research projects and present findings at scientific conferences

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent with foundational training in oncology, hematology, or a related subspecialty
• 1–3 years post-training experience for Associate Medical Director; 3–5+ years for Medical Director
• Familiarity with clinical trial design and early-phase clinical development
• Exposure to laboratory translational oncology and cancer genomics is highly valued
• Ability to navigate complex molecular landscapes and rare tumors
• Experience in a matrix-structured environment and translating medical concepts for non-clinical teams
