Contract Duration: 12 Months

Onsite Requirement: Minimum 6 hours per week

On-Call Requirement: 24/7 availability for emergencies and resident-care matters

Position Summary

We are seeking a qualified physician to serve as Medical Director for a long-term care facility in Woodbury, New Jersey. The Medical Director will oversee and coordinate resident medical care, provide clinical guidance, collaborate with nursing leadership, and support quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and facility operations.

The ideal candidate will have experience in nursing homes, skilled nursing, long-term care, or sub-acute facilities, along with strong knowledge of geriatric care, resident documentation, and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

• MD or qualified physician with an active New Jersey medical license in good standing.
• Required long-term care experience.
• Required geriatric care experience.
• Experience in nursing homes, skilled nursing facilities, long-term care, or sub-acute care settings.
• Experience coordinating medical care for nursing-home residents.
• Experience collaborating with Directors of Nursing and facility leadership.
• Experience with QAPI, quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and nursing-home survey preparation.
• Experience with Medicare Part A and Medicaid resident documentation.
• Proficiency with Sigma Care or another long-term care clinical documentation system.
• Ability to provide 24/7 physician on-call availability and work a minimum of 6 onsite hours per week.
• Ability to provide professional references from long-term care or sub-acute facilities.
• Current malpractice insurance and required CDS license.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous Medical Director experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility.
• Experience with IDR processes and Pharmacy & Therapeutics activities.
