Job summary

VCA Spring Branch Animal Hospital seeks a Medical Director to lead medical direction and ensure the highest standards of care for dogs, cats, and exotics. You will drive clinical quality while leveraging a collaborative team focused on compassionate, fear-free care.

The role includes working with operations and support teams to maintain exceptional clinical outcomes, participate in ongoing education, and promote a positive hospital culture. Texas licensure is required.

Qualifications

• DVM degree from an accredited university.
• Licensure in good standing to practice in Texas or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• As Medical Director, set the medical direction and quality of the hospital.
• Lead collaboration with the clinical team and departments.
• Support operations, HR, marketing, and payroll to enable high-quality medicine.

Schedule

• Current hospital hours: Monday - Friday from 7:00am - 7:00pm & Saturday 8:00am - 4:00pm
• Full-time schedule: (4) days a week with rotating Saturdays

• Our practice focuses on providing comprehensive care for dogs, cats, and exotics
• Routine wellness to involved medical cases

• Salary is negotiable based on experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, and other relevant credentials

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, from an accredited university or equivalent
• Licensure in good standing to practice in Texas, or the ability to obtain
• A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics
