Job summary

A veterinary care organization is seeking a compassionate and skilled Medical Director to lead the team at Slade Veterinary Hospital in Framingham, Massachusetts. The team at Slade Veterinary Hospital, Inc. is a dedicated and highly skilled group of animal care experts. Medical Director

$150,000-$170,000 based on experience

Plus, sign-on bonus and relocation bonus eligible!

What you’ll do

• Examine and diagnose diseases and injuries of pets (primarily dogs and cats), and treat surgically or medically
• Collaborate within our veterinary ecosystem, and communicate with referring veterinarians
• Participate in ongoing education, seminars, and training to stay at the top of your field
• Lead and supervise the clinic team to work with the Hospital Manager on finances
• Work with a Regional Operations Manager and the Hospital Manager to achieve high standards and provide superior pet patient care
• Administer core vaccinations and counsel clients in well pet
• Contribute to making our workplace enjoyable for all: staff, clients, and pets

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree
• 2+ years of experience practicing veterinary medicine in a Veterinary Hospital setting is preferred
• Internship training is also preferred but not required
• Eligible to obtain MA Veterinary License
