Job summary

DEKA Research and Development in Manchester, NH seeks a Product Safety Test Engineer to evaluate electrical safety of medical devices throughout development. You will partner with cross-functional teams to identify compliance risks early and guide designs toward IEC 60601 compliance up to regulatory submissions.

You will develop test plans, perform safety testing, document results with good practices, and support external certification activities while staying current with regulatory guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Biomedical, or Mechanical Engineering (or related field) required.
• Minimum two years of hands-on product safety testing experience.
• Experience configuring test setups and analyzing data against criteria.
• Ability to interpret schematics and technical documentation for compliance.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and apply IEC 60601-1 and related standards to DEKA medical devices.
• Develop, review, and execute product safety test plans and reports.
• Coordinate external testing laboratories and regulatory submissions.
• Document test methods, conditions, results, and conclusions with good practices.
• Support risk management and design improvements to address issues early.
