Job summary

VTI Life Sciences (VTI) seeks a forward-thinking Medical Device Quality Engineer for a four-month contract in Pendleton, SC. The role focuses on validating special processes, including laser marking and laser welding, with responsibility for IQ/OQ/PQ protocols and deviation investigations.

The successful candidate will coordinate with operations and engineering teams, review validation reports, and help develop SOPs while supporting manufacturing equipment validation and commissioning activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in GMP-regulated Medical Device industry.
• Hands-on experience writing and executing validation protocols.
• Strong technical writing and documentation capability.
• Ability to communicate effectively with multi-disciplinary IT teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate validation execution activities for special processes (Laser marking, Laser welding).
• Review IQ/OQ/PQ validation protocols and reports for manufacturing equipment.
• Execute validation protocols for manufacturing equipment (Laser marking, Laser welding, grinders).
• Compile executed validation packages and support SOP development.
• Lead and write deviation investigations related to validations or assist in CAPA investigations.
