Job summary

MillenniumSoft Inc. in Sparks, MD, is seeking a Quality Control Inspector for a 6-month contract. You will perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of medical device products to ensure adherence to internal procedures and product specifications.

The role is on 1st shift (7:30 am–4:30 pm), 40 hours/week, with a pay rate of $20–$30/hr on a W2 basis. A high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years QC experience are required. GMP awareness and ability to lift up to 50 lbs are needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1-2 years related Quality Control experience or equivalency.
• Demonstrated human relation and communications skills.
• Ability to withstand repetitive motion and to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to read and comprehend English.
• Six months related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs visual, dimensional and functional inspections on a wide variety of products in accordance with internal procedures and Product Specifications.
• Reports non-conformances to Supervisor and discusses corrective action.
• Follows-up to see if corrective action was effective.
• Determines whether product is acceptable or rejected, initiates rejection notices, and maintains accurate written records of the inspections performed, including the results.
• Recognizes conditions outside their specific areas of inspection which require action and refers the items to the supervisor.
• Monitors compliance to GMP in employee working areas and reports infractions to QC Supervisor for corrective action.
• Evaluates both the product and process, making decisions on subjective visual inspections.
• Responsibilities have an impact on product quality, productivity, and product costs as affected by internal and external costs of rework, scrap and product warranty.
