Job summary

Protingent is seeking a Contract Product Development Engineer for a Durham, NC assignment. You will support development projects for new models and design changes, focusing on user experience, manufacturability, reliability, and cost, through rapid prototyping and testing in collaboration with researchers, management, and engineers.

You will create design documentation, work with suppliers and manufacturing to enable scalable production, perform root cause investigations, and help sustain

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in design and product development.
• Familiar with ISO 9001 quality systems and Good Documentation Practices.
• Proficient with CAD and SolidWorks; able to create drawings.

Responsibilities

• Support product development for new models and design changes.
• Create design documentation including part specs, drawings, BOMs, test protocols.
• Interface with suppliers, manufacturing and QA to enable scalable production.
• Lead introductions of new models to the manufacturing line.
• Perform root cause investigations and design change control.
