Job summary

Sage Product Development, LLC is seeking a Product Development Engineer to lead medical device projects from concept through market introduction on a contract basis. The role requires design, analysis, client interaction, and regulatory familiarity to meet customer needs in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate brings solid experience in medical device development, strong CAD skills, and the ability to manage multiple work streams while ensuring quality and timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Biomedical or Electromechanical Engineering required.
• Minimum project management experience with device development.
• Experience designing medical devices and handling regulatory considerations.
• Ability to interact professionally with client companies and teams.
• Familiarity with FDA QSR and ISO medical device regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage product development projects with defined plans, tasks, and budgets.
• Prepare project proposals and status reports for clients and Sage personnel.
• Design and develop medical devices and components from concept to market.
• Lead concept generation and evaluate concepts for feasibility and risk.
• Create 3-D CAD drawings and detailed documentation using SolidWorks.
• Conduct risk analyses, design reviews, and testing to verify performance.
