Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is hiring a Packaging/Labeling Technician – Shockwave Medical for our Santa Clara, CA site. You will manage labeling and packaging equipment, support process improvements, and ensure compliance with GMP and quality systems.

The role requires experience in a medical device environment, knowledge of barcode standards, and proficiency with MS Office and label design tools. Occasional weekend coverage may be needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a medical device environment or similar.
• Knowledge of Quality System requirements (e.g., QSRs, ISO, MDD).
• Knowledge of label and barcode standards (e.g. GTN, GS1, ISO 15416).
• Understanding of 5S, Lean and waste reduction in manufacturing.
• Experience with equipment preventive maintenance or calibration is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Labeling and packaging equipment, process, and materials improvement.
• Evaluate and analyze manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and quality.
• Identify opportunities to improve product flow, 5S, and mistake-proofing in packaging, and implement improvements with engineers.
• Set up, operate, maintain, inspect and clean packaging equipment per SOPs.
• Assist in equipment validations and provide data to Engineers.
