Abbott in Madison, Wisconsin, is hiring a Mechanical Engineer II for a 12-month, 100% onsite assignment. You will design and analyze mechanical parts, manage complex assemblies in SolidWorks, and collaborate with electrical engineers to deliver tightly integrated, automated medical device solutions from concept through design and verification.

Strong CAD skills and experience with regulated design controls are essential.

Competenze

BS or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Strong CAD skills, preferably SolidWorks.
Familiarity with CAE tools for stress, strain, and impact.
Experience with medical device design and machine automation preferred.
Knowledge of statistical tolerance analysis.
Minimum 3 years as a mechanical engineer; 5+ years preferred.
Mechanical drawings and design controls in a regulated industry.

Design and analyze mechanical parts.

Collaborate with electrical engineers for integrated electromechanical solutions.
Source and collaborate with other engineering leads and vendors.
