Job summary

Aerotek is hiring a Medical Device Assembler for a fully onsite role in Carlsbad, CA. This is a contract-to-hire position on the 2nd shift (2:30pm–11:00pm) with overtime after the shift.

You will follow SOPs, assemble devices in a cleanroom, and work with engineers to ensure product integrity. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of experience in medical device assembly or small electronics, plus hands-on manufacturing or prototyping experience and microscope inspection skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical device assembly or small electronics is required.
• Hands-on manufacturing or prototyping experience is preferred.
• Microscope and medical assembly experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs, line clearance, work instructions, and GMP/quality requirements.
• Operate machinery and assemble medical devices in a cleanroom.
• Complete production documentation and perform in-process inspection.
• Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to ensure product quality.

Medical Device Assembler

Location: Carlsbad, CA. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlsbad, CA. Shift: 2nd shift (2:30pm – 11:00pm) with overtime after shift.

Responsibilities

• Follow standard operating procedures, line clearance, work instructions, assembly methods, product handling methods, production drawings, good documentation practices, current good manufacturing practices, and safety requirements.
• Operate machinery and assemble medical devices within a cleanroom environment.
• Complete training on production tasks, understand travelers/routers, and identify materials.
• Utilize a microscope and additional production/inspection tools and equipment needed for product builds.
• Operate tools and equipment, completing required documentation.
• Perform equipment set‑up, operation, and in‑process inspection to accomplish assigned tasks.
• Collaborate directly with engineers and supervisors to ensure product integrity and quality.
• Assist engineers in developing process documentation.
• Conduct inventory counts.
• Execute other duties as assigned, following verbal instructions.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in medical device assembly and production or small electronics.
• Hands‑on experience in manufacturing, production environment, or prototyping.
• Prior microscope and medical assembly experience.

Pay and Benefits

Pay range: $21.00–$23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change. If eligible, benefits may include:
