Job summary

Reliable Respiratory, INC specializes in durable medical equipment for sleep and respiratory care. The Medical Device & Delivery Driver Tech role serves Massachusetts patients with hands-on delivery, setup, and support for CPAP, BiPAP, and oxygen equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without current/future sponsorship.

• Proficient PC/iPad usage for email, documentation, and notes.
• Valid driver’s license from residence state.
• At least 3 years of verifiable driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to patients using CPAP/BIPAP and related sleep equipment.
• Deliver and pick up durable medical equipment to patients' homes; assist with oxygen department surges.
• Coordinate with Customer Success for scheduling visits and equipment setup.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and company policies.
• Complete delivery/pickup paperwork promptly and accurately.
• Keep vehicle clean, perform logs, and assist with inventory checks.
• Participate in on-call rotation and training sessions.

The Medical Device & Delivery Driver Tech is responsible for supporting and maintaining the obstructive sleep apnea population in Massachusetts by providing technical knowledge and assistance. The Delivery Driver Technician is responsible for delivering and picking up equipment to customers and assisting with the Oxygen Department’s customer service queues.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to patients with CPAP, BIPAP, and other sleep equipment for sleep apnea related diagnoses. Equipment includes:
  
  • Luna G3 APAP and ResMed APAP
  • Luna 3B BPAP and ResMed BPAP
  • Mask fitting
  • Oxygen concentrators and regulators
• Provide telehealth instruction to Massachusetts patients and/or caregivers on the proper use of certain equipment and/or respiratory care procedures—escalating to a Respiratory Therapist as appropriate.
• Serve as a liaison between the patient and other members of the health care team as required.
• Participate in mandatory in-services and other training as scheduled.
• Participate in ongoing education and training sessions regarding respiratory patient care.
• Keep all financial and patient information confidential, in accordance with company mandates and HIPAA security standards.
• Coordinate with the Customer Success team on scheduling patient visits and equipment set-up.
• Develop good working relationships with the patients and their families.
• Follow proper company policies and procedures and ensure timely documentation.
• Participate in the on-call rotation as needed.
• Complete 500 hours under the direct supervisor of a Licensed Respiratory Therapist.
• Works directly with customers in their homes delivering and picking up durable medical equipment.
• Completes delivery and pick up paperwork promptly and accurately.
• Ensures equipment is cleaned properly and in accordance with Reliable Respiratory’s standards.
• Maintains the Company vehicle in a clean, safe operating condition and completes logs as required.
• Assists in receiving orders and putting away inventory as needed.
• Comply with all policies and procedures established by the company and the company's regulatory bodies.
• Participate in physical inventory checks.
• Keep assigned warehouse organized, clean and orderly and ensure all location warehouses are following the same processes and procedures.
• Oversee product/order fulfillment, including the cleaning and testing of equipment in assigned warehouse.
• Assist in monitoring inventory in assigned warehouse to ensure that delivery staff are appropriately stocked for daily deliveries and maintaining a par-level of overstock.

Basic Qualifications

• Must be eligible to work in the United States and not require work authorization from us now or in the future.
• 1 year of customer service experience.
• Experience with respiratory equipment is preferred.
• Efficient skills utilizing a PC/iPad/software for email, documentation, notes etc.
• Have a valid and current driver’s license from the state of residence
• Have at least 3 years verifiable driving experience
• Have no more than 2 moving violations or at fault accidents on the driving record within the past 3 years
• Have no misdemeanor conviction relating in any way to the operation of a motor vehicle where you have been convicted of, or released from incarceration, within the past three years (other than a first conviction for any of the following misdemeanors: drunkenness, simple assault, speeding, minor traffic violations, affray or disturbance of the peace) and no felony convictions
