Job summary

AdventHealth Tampa is seeking a dedicated courier to support daily routes and on-demand deliveries of mail, linens, documents, packages, and medical supplies. This PRN role in Tampa, FL offers a 7:00am–3:30pm Saturday/Sunday schedule, with potential for flexible shifts.

Responsibilities include logging deliveries, using scanning devices, and providing excellent customer service while coordinating with internal teams. Valid driver’s license and willingness to work nights/holidays are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Self-starter able to manage time and tasks.
• Ability to identify, sort and organize cargo for timely delivery.
• Ability to read and speak English.
• Ability to follow schedules and instructions.
• Ability to use scanning devices to log deliveries.
• Ability to exercise good judgment in emergencies.
• Ability to drive sedans to small box trucks.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily routes and on-demand duties to ensure timely delivery of mail, linens, documents, packages, specimens, medical supplies, equipment and patient records.
• Maintain daily electronic and hard-copy vehicle logs for each stop.
• Provide outstanding customer service and professional interactions with staff and clients.
• Coordinate transportation needs with relevant departments and follow safety protocols.
• Operate transportation vehicles in compliance with traffic laws and policies.
• Keep vehicles clean and properly functioning; report maintenance issues promptly.
• Use tracking devices to monitor status of transported items and handle hazardous materials safely.
• Support flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
