Job summary

MedSpeed in Bakersfield, CA is hiring a Logistics Service Representative/Medical Driver for a full-time, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM shift, Monday through Friday. You will drive a company vehicle, transport lab specimens, medical records, and supplies, and use a handheld scanner to track items.

Ideal candidates are 19+ with a valid license for 3 years, reliable, tech-friendly, and able to lift up to 50 pounds. Training provided; benefits include health, 401(k), PTO, and a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Must be 19 years of age with an active driver's license for 3 years.
• Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
• Familiarity with technology and adaptivity to new systems.
• Follow procedures closely and accurately.
• Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points.
• Ability to pass initial and random drug & alcohol screens.
• Drive a non-commercial vehicle throughout the shift on varied roads.
• Must have an excellent driving history.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination depending on location and mandates.
• Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Handle varying item weights and physical demands across routes.

Responsibilities

• Most of the day in a company vehicle, safely transporting lab specimens and materials.
• Operate a handheld scanner to track items through the transport cycle.
• Observe policies, procedures and service schedules.
• Present a professional image to clients and the public.
• Load and unload vehicles with appropriate equipment.
• Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior.
• Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and keep the vehicle clean.
