Medical Driver – North Aurora - $16.20 hourly – FT (Mon-Fri 2:00pm - 10:30pm)

Note that this position offers a +$1.00 hourly shift differential starting at 10pm

Responsibilities of a MedSpeed Medical Driver:
  • Drive and transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies, interoffice mail, and related materials in a company vehicle.
  • Load and unload the vehicle with appropriate equipment.
  • Use a hand-held scanner to track items during transportation.
  • Follow operating policies, procedures, and schedules.
  • Drive safely and courteously.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections before and after trips, maintaining a clean and neat vehicle.
  • Perform all route duties as assigned, demonstrating teamwork, cooperation, and adaptability.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Relevant industry/driving experience is a plus.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • At least 19 years old with an active driver’s license for 3 years.
  • Excellent driving history.
  • Familiarity with technology.
  • Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening.
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination, depending on location and mandates.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Comfort with walking and standing for long periods.
