Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Salem, VA, seeks a part-time weekend courier to pick up, transport, and deliver medical specimens and lab materials on a scheduled route. You’ll communicate professionally with clinicians and lab staff to ensure timely deliveries.

Responsibilities include operating a non-CDL company vehicle, using scanners and route software to track deliveries, and maintaining proper specimen handling and documentation while following DOT/HIPAA/OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with 3+ years driving experience and clean Motor Vehicle Record.
• Great customer service and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and reliable documentation.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems on the road.
• Comfortable using mobile devices or scanning tools.
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs and stay on the move.

Pay range: $17.75 - $22.11 / hour

Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Qualifications

What you need:

• Valid Driver's license with a minimum of 3 years driving experience and documentation of a Motor Vehicle Record with no more than two moving violation convictions within the previous 36-month period, with none in the most recent 12 months.
• Great customer service and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail, with reliable documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and problem-solve on the road
• Comfortable using mobile devices or scanning tools
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and be on the move for much of your shift
• Prior medical, customer service, courier, or logistics experience is strongly preferred
