Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a part-time Medical Courier in Petaluma, CA. Shifts are Saturday/Sunday/Monday with specified times. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required.

You will travel routes delivering specimens and lab materials, communicating with medical staff, and maintaining accurate documentation on a non-CDL vehicle. Benefits begin day one, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, and opportunities for merit increases.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with at least 3 years driving experience.
• Motor Vehicle Record with no more than two moving violations in 36 months, none in last 12 months.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation abilities.
• Able to work independently and solve problems on the road.
• Comfortable using mobile devices and scanning tools.

Responsibilities

• Pickup, transport, and deliver medical specimens and lab materials on a scheduled route.
• Communicate professionally with doctors, nurses, and lab staff to ensure timely deliveries.
• Safely operate a company vehicle (non-CDL).
• Use handheld scanners, route software, and mobile apps to track deliveries.
• Ensure proper specimen handling, labeling, storage, and documentation.
• Comply with DOT, HIPAA, OSHA, and internal safety standards.

Pay range: $22.00 - $26.50 / hour; employee may be eligible to receive shift differential of 10% for some or all hours worked on second shift and 15% for some or all hours worked on third shift. Additional details on shift differential will be provided if an offer is extended.

Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Qualifications

What you need:

• Valid Driver’s license with a minimum of 3 years driving experience and documentation of a Motor Vehicle Record with no more than two moving violation convictions within the previous 36-month period, with none in the most recent 12 months.
• Great customer service and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail, with reliable documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and problem-solve on the road
• Comfortable using mobile devices or scanning tools
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and be on the move for much of your shift
• Prior medical, customer service, courier, or logistics experience is strongly preferred
