Job summary

WellStreet Urgent Care is seeking a Professional Coding Auditor to review clinical documentation and coding for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory alignment. You will ensure proper CPT/ICD-10 mapping and support education for providers and coding staff.

Role focuses on identifying trends, improving reimbursement, and collaborating with leadership to enhance coding quality within a fast-paced urgent care network.

Qualifications

• Active CPC or CCS certification through AAPC or AHIMA.
• 2+ years of medical billing/coding auditing experience.
• Urgent Care or Occupational Health billing experience.
• Experience with billing software and EMRs; Epic is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Audit provider documentation and CPT/ICD-10 codes.
• Verify documentation supports diagnoses/procedures billed.
• Identify coding errors and opportunities for improvement.
• Educate providers and coders on coding standards and regulations.
• Provide feedback and deliver training on coding requirements.
