Position Summary

The Cancer Center of South Florida (CCSF) is searching for a Medical Breast Oncologist who is board-certified or board-eligible physician and specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of breast cancer. At the Cancer Center of South Florida (CCSF), the Breast Medical Oncologist plays a vital role within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to patients and their families. This position requires strong clinical acumen, excellent interpersonal skills, and a commitment to continuous learning and leadership within the field of oncology. Core Responsibilities

Patient Care Excellence & Satisfaction

• Diagnose and treat a wide range of cancer conditions using evidence-based standards of care.
• Create and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's medical and emotional needs.
• Provide clear, compassionate communication and guidance to patients and their families.
• Maintain high patient satisfaction through courtesy, respect, and service excellence.
• Engage in ongoing communication with patients to promote trust and shared decision‑making.

Clinical Quality & Efficiency

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations, order appropriate diagnostic tests, and interpret results accurately.
• Deliver timely and complete documentation of patient visits, treatment plans, and follow‑ups.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in medical oncology and apply best practices.
• Demonstrate personal reliability and efficiency in managing patient care responsibilities.

Multidisciplinary Collaboration & Collegiality

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, and administrative staff to deliver coordinated, comprehensive care.
• Participate in tumor boards, case reviews, and care planning discussions.

• Represent CCSF in the community through patient and physician outreach.

• Deliver care that is aligned with CCSF’s quality standards and value-based outcomes.

• Publish or present findings, where appropriate, and contribute to advancing the field of oncology.

• Assume medically integrated dispensing supervision responsibilities in the absence of the physician in charge.
• Research and administrative responsibilities and the associated time commitments are specified and outlined in the employment agreement.

Requirements

Required Education & Experience

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
• Completion of residency in internal medicine or a related field.
• Fellowship training in hematology or oncology.
• Board certification in hematology or oncology.

Required Certificates, Licenses or Registrations

• Must possess and maintain an active, unrestricted Florida Medical License issued by the Florida Board of Medicine.
• Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Medical Oncology or Hematology required
• Valid DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) registration for prescribing controlled substances.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
