This full-time position involves ensuring accurate insurance verification, claim submission, and working closely with a third-party billing vendor. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in medical billing, familiarity with EHR systems like athenahealth, and a commitment to providing equitable reproductive healthcare. Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical billing or revenue cycle support.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and billing systems, preferably athenahealth.
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding basics.
• Familiarity with insurance claims processes, denials, and appeals.

Responsibilities

• Review encounters and charges for completeness prior to claim submission.
• Submit claims through athenahealth and monitor claim status.
• Serve as the primary liaison with the external billing company.
• Respond to patient billing inquiries and support correction of insurance information.
• Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility prior to services.
