Job summary

The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational and analytical skills, is proactive about learning, can work independently in a cubicle office or secure home office, and has knowledge of insurance concepts including Medicaid and Medicare; CPT/ICD-10 coding

Qualifications

• Billing & collections experience in healthcare
• Strong communication with insurers to resolve issues
• Detail oriented with ability to audit accounts
• Able to learn new computer programs quickly
• Good problem solving skills in a healthcare billing context
• Comfortable working independently in office or home setting
• Knowledge of Medicaid/Medicare concepts is a plus
• CPT/ICD-10 coding knowledge is a plus

Responsibilities

• Help conduct billing and collection of medical services
• Communicate with insurance companies to resolve issues that delay account resolution
• Audit accounts to ensure that appropriate payments are paid by responsible parties
• Audit previously worked accounts to identify revenue leakage
