Job summary

Desai Eye Care is seeking an experienced Medical Billing Specialist focused on denials and Accounts Receivable to own the full lifecycle of insurance billing, claims and denial management. This flexible role ranges 20–40 hours per week and can be in-office, hybrid, or remote; Lafayette-area candidates are preferred but not required.

You will review claims, appeal denials, and liaise with providers and patients to resolve issues promptly and ensure accurate reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical billing and denial management.
• Proficient with insurance claim lifecycle and AR aging.
• Knowledge of CPT/ICD coding and payer guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Own the denial management process from intake to resolution.
• Submit and follow up on insurance claims and appeals.
• Collaborate with providers, staff, and patients to resolve issues and maximize reimbursement.
