Job summary

Arizona Community Physicians is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our large, multi-specialty practice in Tucson. You will process and submit claims, follow up on denials, and provide accurate financial information to patients and providers.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of medical billing experience, knowledge of CPT/ICD-10/HCPCS coding, and familiarity with EHR and practice management software. Strong organization and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Two years of medical billing and collections experience.
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and practice management software.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional billing or coding certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process and submit insurance claims accurately and timely.
• Follow up on unpaid or denied claims.
• Post insurance and patient payments.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits.
• Resolve billing inquiries from patients and insurance companies.
• Maintain compliance with payer guidelines and HIPAA regulations.
• Work collaboratively with providers, clinical staff, and administrative teams.
