Job summary

You will manage 837/835 processes, denials, and payer communications, maintain patient and insurance information, and assist with audits.

Candidates should have at least two years in medical billing, proficient Excel/Outlook, and strong numerical skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum HS Diploma or equivalent and at least two years' experience in medical billing, posting, denial management, and collections.
• Associated degree in medical billing preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of billing systems, insurance, and electronic claims.
• Excellent numeric and computer skills; proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Complete billing-related tasks: update patient insurance info, COB order, and reallocate balances to bill the correct coverage.
• Prepare 837 EDI claim files and upload for payment.
• Retrieve 835 remittance files and upload into the billing system.
• Post payments and adjustments to client ledgers and reconcile against EOBs.
• Handle denials and follow up to ensure accurate and timely payment.
