This full-time, on-site role focuses on accurate charge entries, ensuring current codes, and resolving billing questions.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma with coding experience; preferred credentials include CPC or CCS and familiarity with EMR systems.

Qualifications

• Medical coding certification preferred and active coding terminology knowledge.
• Experience with GI patient charts and ASC billing processes is desirable.
• Ability to review charts for accuracy and ensure codes are current.

Responsibilities

• Receive and review patient charts and documents for accuracy.
• Ensure all codes are current and active and report missing documentation.
• Enter charges accurately and ensure proper coding on provider documentation.
• Serve as resource for insurance resolutions and coding questions.
• Handle co-pays, balances, and posting of charges.
