Qualifications

• Two years of medical coding experience in a healthcare setting.
• Experience with CPT and ICD-10 codes.
• Familiar with electronic health records and practice management systems.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Enter patient fees and codes into the practice management system.
• Run and verify daily close/end of day reports.
• Process patient third-party billings.
• Verify insurance eligibility, submit claims, and follow up on denials.
• Maintain patient accounts and billing files.
• Assist with insurance enrollment and identifying uninsured patients.
• Remain current with standards of health care billing and coding practices.
• Comply with center’s policies and procedures.
• Operate specialized office equipment.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement activities.
• Other duties as assigned.
