Job summary

AAPC in Las Vegas is seeking a dedicated Certified Coder/Biller for a full-time role. You will code 250+ face sheets daily, review medical records, and handle insurance verifications with accuracy. The job requires strong data entry and customer-facing skills in a small team.

Qualifications

• Certified Professional Coder required with 2+ years in Medical Billing & Coding.
• Ability to read and understand medical records and apply ICD-10/CPT coding.
• Strong data entry, organization, and attention to detail.
• Reliable transportation, punctuality and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Codify 250+ face sheets daily and post co-payments manually.
• Verify patient insurance coverage and read medical records accurately.
• Print and mail HCFAs/CMS 1500 forms as needed.
• Assist with patient phone calls and maintain a positive customer experience.

We are looking for a team member who is a go- getter and passionate about the medical billing field.

Responsibilities of a Certified Coder/Biller:

• Coding 250 + face sheets daily.
• Ability to read and understand medical records.
• Knowledgeable with ICD-10/ CPT Coding.
• Data entry 120 charts/charges.
• Manually posting Co- Payments from the patients.
• Verifying Patient's insurance coverage.
• Ability to print and mail HCFAs/ CMS 1500.
• Assisting with patient phone calls.

Required experience:

• Certified Professional Coder
• Medical Billing & Coding 2 + years.
• Ability to work well independently, within a team, multitask, follow-up and follow-through.
• Must be organized and pay attention to detail.
• Punctual, reliable transportation. The successful candidate must be computer proficient, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be personable and enjoy working in a small group dynamic. Must be able to provide a positive customer experience to our clients, Physicians and Staff.

Preferred Additional Experience on the following:

• Insurance Web Portals (website's)
• Familiar with Appeal Letters for denials
• Medisoft experience is a Plus
• Availity Clearinghouse
