Qualifications

• Two years of Medical Billing experience preferred.
• Graduate of a certificate program for Medical Billing preferred.
• Knowledge of third party billing procedures.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensures clients are reimbursed properly by verifying patient insurance information and reviewing billing details.
• Review of all claims for accuracy and correct errors for billing.
• Review and correct response files from electronic submissions.
• Document all patient accounts with actions in the system.
• Follow up on daily correspondence in a timely manner.
• Keep up to date with current insurance billing requirements and changes.
• Follow up on unpaid/denied claims within payer filing guidelines.
• Verify patient insurance information using relevant systems and portals.
• Make changes to correct denied claims and submit corrected claims.
• Review EOBs for denial or partial payments.
• Interact with insurance companies to resolve issues delaying collections.
• Performs other related duties as requested.
