Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking a Medical Biller to join our team. You will work closely with patients and our offsite medical billing partner, processing insurance forms and collecting necessary documentation while delivering strong customer service on the phone and within the EHR system.

The role focuses on assisting with insurance claims, collecting signatures, coordinating with physicians' offices, and ensuring accurate entry of billing data, with confidentiality a priority.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical billing or coding is preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Comfortable communicating with patients on the phone.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with processing insurance claims through private insurance.
• Note and process all necessary forms from the insurance.
• Assist patients in navigating the billing and insurance landscape, including collecting all necessary forms and signatures.
• Work with doctor's offices and hospitals to schedule patients and ensure paperwork is completed.
• Enter all billing and payment information into the system properly and without errors.
• Follow up with patients and monthly payments, as needed.
• Answer phones, assist patients with questions, take messages, and screen calls.
• Maintains the highest level of confidentiality.

Offering customer service to our private pay patients is essential as you take in their information and schedule them. The ideal candidate has excellent attention to detail, strong customer service skills, and is comfortable spending much of the day on the phone and on EHR.
