Job summary

Federated Insurance seeks a Claims Support Associate to review medical bills for Property & Casualty Claims. You will analyze bills, ensure prompt payment, and handle calls from medical providers and vendors with a focus on accuracy and customer service.

Two-year degree and 1 year in medical billing or similar role preferred; knowledge of insurance and medical terminology is a plus. We offer comprehensive benefits and competitive pay from $25.20–$34.20 per hour.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree is preferred.
• At least 1 year experience in medical billing or coding or related customer-service role.
• Knowledge of insurance and medical terminology is a plus.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills: Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Excellent customer-service phone skills.

Responsibilities

• Process medical bills using prescribed authority for prompt payment.
• Review billed services for appropriateness to support company results.
• Keep current on statutes, systems, and processes.
• Audit bill review system edits and business rules for accuracy.
• Handle inbound calls from medical providers and vendors for P&C claims.
• Provide guidance to junior claims staff as needed.
• Maintain effective relationships with Federated personnel.
