The Position
Teach high school students the Medical Assisting state curriculum for the 2026-2027 school year.
Provide instruction in all aspects of medical assisting to prepare students for entry-level employment in the healthcare industry or to continue at the post-secondary level. Create a valid standards/skills-based curriculum that leads to the NHA Certified Clinical Medical Assistant certification. Help students build professional skills by integrating employability skills such as working with others, good attendance, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude. Establish relationships with local employers in the healthcare industry to maintain a strong program Advisory Board and secure work-based learning opportunities for the medical assistant pathway students.
This is a full-time teaching position, 185 days, full benefits, and TRF retirement.
It follows the Pike school calendar. The teacher's contract hours are approximately Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
NOTE: Employment is year-to-year and based on having sufficient enrollment.
