Job summary

Pro Med Healthcare is seeking Medical Assistants for a medical clinic in West Palm Beach. The role supports Palm Beach County first responders and offers full-time, temporary-to-permanent employment with a pay range of $23.00–$25.00 per hour.

Hours are 7A–7P, Monday through Friday with rotational Saturdays 9am–5pm. Completion of an Accredited Medical Assisting Program and current BLS certification are required, along with AHCA Level II Background.

Qualifications

• Completion of an Accredited Medical Assisting Program.
• Current BLS certification.
• AHCA Level II Background.

Responsibilities

• Interview new patient efficiently and accurately and orders appropriate x-rays utilizing the EMR; this includes taking vitals, updating review of systems, history of present illness, documenting primary care physician, medications, allergies and correctly documents the past medical, social and family history.
• Prepares and administers injections.
• Instructs patient with any follow up instructions needed for that visit.
• Demonstrates accountability for own actions by rendering patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Should be able to type minimum 40 wpm accurately.
• Proficient in cleaning and caring for instruments and equipment.
• Assists provider as directed with office procedures.
• Places any orders per the providers.
• Maintains exam rooms including supplies and equipment for physicians.
• Confirms information in system has been completed including any procedures completed in office for that visit prior to the patient checking out.
• Utilizes equipment appropriately, including upkeep and repairs.
• Other duties assigned by the Medical Director.
