Job summary

Frederick Primary Care Associates, P.A. is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team in a full-time capacity. You will support clinicians by taking vital signs, administering immunizations, and coordinating patient care using Athena EMR.

The position offers an hourly base pay of $17.00–$21.00 with annual bonuses and overtime opportunities possible at the After Hours Clinic, depending on experience and performance.

Qualifications

• Must possess strong clinical as well as customer service skills.
• Strong technology aptitude.
• Prior experience in the field is required.

Responsibilities

• Taking patient vital signs to be reported to your supervising provider.
• Using Athena EMR to track patient complaints and histories to ensure optimal long-term care.
• Administer immunizations to ensure optimal preventative care.
• Following up with patients and their requests via phone.
• Triaging patients experiencing medical emergencies.
• Discussing medications and their effects with patients under provider supervision.
• Other duties as assigned

Hourly Pay: $17-21 per hour depending on experience

Additional Compensation: Annual bonuses (variable depending on office and performance) and overtime opportunities are available at FPCA’s After Hours Clinic (eligible after 6 months of employment based on performance)

Schedule: Full Time (Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday 7:30 AM - 5 PM, Tuesday 9:30 AM - 7 PM, off on Fridays)
