Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant Program (Required).
• High School Diploma or GED (Required).
• 1+ year of clinical Medical Assistant experience (Required).
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) preferred within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates unit operations by managing patient flow.
• Responsible for all front desk duties specific to department, including scheduling patients, collecting and verifying patient payor information and other patient documentation.
• Performs patient centered care delegated by Provider.
• Provides a safe environment for patients.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards, PHI handling per UH guidelines.
