MainStreet Family Urgent Care is looking for an energetic Medical Assistant in Wake Forest, NC. This role involves delivering exceptional patient care by assisting providers with intake, treatment, and discharge. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills and experience with Microsoft Office. The position begins at $15/hr and includes health, dental, and vision benefits plus a 401(K). The Medical Assistant will work on a rotating schedule, totaling 7 workdays over a 14-day period.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Prior Medical Assisting experience or education is beneficial, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist provider(s) in the care of patients to assure optimal delivery of medical care.
• Triage patients promptly in line with clinic procedures to ensure smooth workflow.
• Document vital signs, weight, and any updates to the patient’s medical history prior to each visit.
• Perform lab tests in compliance with clinical guidelines.
• Manage digital patient records and support transition from paper to electronic systems.
• Prepare examination rooms for patient appointments.
• Administer prescribed medications under provider supervision.
• Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures.
• Position patients for x-rays following provider directives.
• Help monitor and manage medical inventory when needed.

We are expanding and seeking energetic, fast, and friendly Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering top‑notch care to patients. We provide a range of services including urgent care, primary care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine. The ideal candidate will assist the on‑site provider with patient intake, assessment, treatment, and discharge.

Clinic Hours of Operation

• MainStreet:
  • Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
• KidsStreet:
  • Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday: 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.

KidStreet Locations: Montgomery, Pelham, Gainesville, Mobile, Augusta, Tallahassee, Columbus, Valdosta, Savannah, Charlotte, Wake Forest, Greenville, Wilmington, and Winston‑Salem.

Note: MainStreet and KidsStreet clinic hours subject to change.

Rotating Schedule

Medical Assistants work on a rotating schedule, alternating between 4 days one week and 3 days the next, including every other weekend. This totals 7 workdays over a 14‑day period.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Prior Medical Assisting experience or education is beneficial, but not required.
