The certified medical assistant performs a wide range of clinical duties including assisting the physician in providing quality care in a medical office setting. The certified medical assistant must be able to demonstrate the knowledge required to provide age appropriate care for the patients served in the practice, and skills to interpret assessment in relation to principles of growth and development over the life span.
