Job summary

Florida Urology Partners, LLC is expanding and seeks a Medical Assistant with strong organizational skills who can prioritize tasks and communicate effectively with patients. The role includes phlebotomy and injections, with support across multiple office locations in the Tampa area.

Responsibilities include taking histories, vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and assisting physicians. Epic EHR experience is a plus, and a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Team player willing to rotate to multiple office locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and interview patients; measure vital signs and document in chart.
• Give instructions to patients as directed by physician or physician assistant.
• File reports, labs and information in inpatient records prior to appointments.
• Keep exam rooms stocked with supplies and maintain instruments; prepare sterilization as required.
• Take telephone messages and relay feedback to patients, physicians and pharmacies.
• Triage and process messages from patients and staff to physicians and assistants.
• Maintain logs (refrigerator temps, emergency medications, expired meds, oxygen, etc.).

Description

We are expanding and we need your medical assisting expertise! We seek a Medical Assistant that has excellent organizational skills, is skilled at prioritizing tasks, and can communicate effectively, efficiently and in a timely matter with patients. Ability to perform phlebotomy and administer injections. We are looking for a team player that can help out with a smile on their face.

Clinical duties

Taking medical histories and recording vital signs, explaining treatment procedures to patients, preparing patients for examination, and assisting the physician during the examination.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms, interviews patients, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in patient’s chart
• Give instructions to patients as instructed by physician or physician assistant
• Ensure all related reports, labs and information is filed is available inpatients’ medical records prior to their appointment
• Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required
• Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls
• Triage and process messages from patients and front office staff to physicians and physician assistants
• Maintain all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, cold sterilization fluid change, etc.)

Epic EHR experience is a plus.
