Highmark Health is offering a Medical Assistant Trainee program in Pittsburgh and surrounding areas. This training is designed for individuals with little to no clinical experience and no formal MA training.

You will train two days per week at West Penn Nursing School or AHN Suburban in Bellevue and work the other three days in a physician office. Upon completion, you will sit for the Certification Exam and start working 40 hours per week.

Once you are certified, you will be at $19.26.**GENERAL OVERVIEW:**This job is responsible for clinic patient support by performing essential clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience while contributing to the overall effectiveness of the healthcare team. **ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES*** Using the team based approach, assists in the coordination of patient care under supervision of the health care provider (14%)* Prepares and rooms patients within the clinic practice setting according to standardized work flows. Accurately obtains patient vital signs and history. May assist in the completion of various screening tools. (15%* Assists providers with examinations and procedures.
