Job summary

Norton Healthcare, Inc. is offering a full-time Medical Assistant trainee program in Louisville, KY. The role provides paid training Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., with clinical training at multiple locations in Louisville and Southern Indiana.

After successful completion, you transition to a full-time Medical Assistant role and begin hands-on patient care under supervision. Requirements include graduation from a medical assistant program (or one year of MA experience); no prior experience

Qualifications

• Graduate of a medical assistant program (or) one year as a Medical Assistant.
• On-the-job training provided for those new to the role.

Responsibilities

• Take patients to rooms and prepare them for care.
• Obtain vital signs and assist with medical procedures.
• Perform phlebotomy and obtain lab specimens.
• Maintain electronic medical records (EMR) and ensure chart accuracy.
• Provide front-line administrative support: scheduling, phones, billing/coding.
